I've totally stolen this idea from Siobhán after reading her post – but it's OK peeps – she's already told me she'd love me to blog about my MAC lip liner collection too, so she's cool with it!

MAC was the first brand that really got me into makeup seriously. I mean, I've always liked makeup since I was a wee girl and used to sneak into my parents room and use my Mum's lipstick, but after using MAC once I was older I was seriously hooked, and it's a brand that features heavily in my collection.
MAC So Good For You, Leap Of Delight Matte Lipstick Swatches Review – Nutcracker Sweet Collection MAC is one brand that comes up with limited edition collections every month. I have see many and didn't care to check the products for two reasons – the products disappear from the displays on the day of launch (Out of stock), secondly. Nov 2, 2018 - I don't have anything quite like Mac's So Select lipstick. Whirl looks like it might be close in the tube but they are way different swatched! Soar lip pencil is probably the perfect lip liner! Stila Patina maybelline touch of spice up Nyx soft spoken jeffree star androgyny #LipPencilHowToApply.
I will never wear lipstick without a lip liner unless I'm using a liquid or a gloss and I love the quality and shade range of the MAC lip liners, so I have a fair few! They are pigmented, long lasting and generally easily to blend – I've listed a few exceptions below.
I've already blogged previously about my most used MAC lip liner that goes with EVERY nude lipstick – MAC Boldly Bare. I blogged about it a year and a half ago and it's still one of my most popular posts each month all this time later. Seriously if you only take one thing from this blog post it's that everyone needs that lip liner in their life – you won't regret it!
I don't always wear lip liners that match lipsticks perfectly as I quite like the contrast and ombre effect having a slightly different shade or tone liner can add.
So here is my MAC lip liner collection. I've also listed next to it what MAC lipstick goes with it – as I have a lot of those too!
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Fruit Cocktail'
I forgot I had this lip liner until I started writing this post- So I'm glad I've found it again! MAC ‘Fruit Cocktail' is an orange toned coral shade. I brought this lip liner to go with MAC ‘Vegas Volt' which is a pink coral but as I said I quite often mix different shades to give the lipstick a different look.
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Lasting Sensation'
My favourite summer lip liner is ‘Lasting Sensation' as it goes perfectly with MAC ‘Vegas Volt' which is a beautiful pinky coral shade.
MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in shade ‘What A Blast'
The ‘What A Blast' is a Pro Longwear Lip Liner which does last longer than the other liners however that usually means that the lipstick comes off and then you're left with just the liner which looks daft – I'd rather it all wear off evenly. It is also so soft that sometimes the pencil can break easily and I do find it can be a bit patchy as it's quite thick. Saying all that it is a stunning bright orange red that goes incredible well with MAC ‘Korean Candy' lipstick – which unfortunately I think has been discontinued. Sad times.
MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in shade ‘Dynamo'
I rarely use ‘Dynamo' anymore as I don't really wear pink lipsticks much. It's a bright pink shade that goes really well with MAC ‘Insanely It', however I think that lipstick has now been discontinued as well! ‘Dynamo' will however go well with any bright fuchsia pink lipstick.

MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Ruby Woo'
Ahh Ruby Woo – My most used red lip liner. Blue toned reds are my favourite red lipsticks so this lip liner goes with a lot of them. It matches MAC ‘Petite Red' (limited edition) lipstick perfectly. It goes well with MAC ‘Cockney' lipstick and even though ‘Lady Danger' is slightly more orange toned than the others if you blend it in it will work with that too.
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Dervish'
MAC ‘Dervish' is a lovely dusky pink nude. It goes with MAC 'Viva Glam II' lipstick exceptionally well and it's also lovely paired with MAC ‘Modesty', MAC ‘Velvet Teddy' and MAC ‘Brave' lipstick.
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Boldly Bare'
The famous MAC ‘Boldly Bare' – I really recommend you read this post as there are so many lipsticks it will go with the list is endless – Basically it will work with any nude lipstick! MAC ‘Brave', ‘Modesty', ‘Blankety', ‘Shy Girl, ‘Pure Zen', ‘Viva Glam II', ‘Velvet Teddy' and ‘McIzzle' (Limited edition).
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Spice'
Although ‘Boldly Bare' and ‘Dervish' liner can be worn with MAC ‘Velvet Teddy' lipstick it's better matched with the MAC lip liner ‘Spice' which is why I bought it. It's a dark rusty brown colour and would be a great browny/nude for darker skin tones too.
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Stone'
I bought MAC ‘Stone' which is a cool toned dark brown liner to go with MAC ‘Courting Seduction' lipstick – which is a pale lilac. Weird combo right…? Read this post and you'll see how perfect they go together! If lilac isn't your thing then any darker cool toned nude lippy will go with it.
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Vino'
I bought MAC ‘Vino' to go with MAC ‘Rebel' lipstick. A dark plum shade perfect for the autumn. I always get comments when I wear these two together so now we are coming out of Summer soon I'll be cracking these out again.
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Currant'
I shouldn't have really brought MAC ‘Currant' as I already had MAC ‘Vino' which is very very similar. Although you can see a slight difference in these swatches, once applied to the lips you really can't. Goes well paired with MAC ‘Rebel' Lipstick and MAC ‘Petite Red' (Limited Edition) lipstick – basically any dark purple or a dark very blue toned red lipstick.
MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Subculture'
I lost the Subculture lip liner while I was taking these photos (It fell down the side of my bed – typical me!) so it's not actually in these photos, however that's not a bad thing as I actually don't like this lip liner and never use it. I'm not sure if I got a dodgy batch but it's so dry and hard I actually can't bare to put it on my lips as it drags so much. There is hardly any pigment to it either. I would imagine I have a dodgy one as I haven't experienced this with any other of the MAC lip liners but worth mentioning.
Below I have shown a few of my favorite pairings of MAC Lip Liners and MAC lipsticks together.
Are there any other MAC Lip Liners you can recommend?

MAC See Sheer Lipstick Review and Dupe
By Contributor: Ramitha
Mac So Select Lipstick Swatch Discontinued
So how many of you go to MAC store very determined to pick up just one product and end up with well you know. It happens to me all the time.sob sob. And See Sheer is one of my those lipsticks which I was sucked into buying.well! Its a MAC store and being a beauty blogger its allowed! But not next time and that we shall see! And ooh I am so glad I picked this up. Its a pretty coral shade which is quite a hit when it comes to summer lipsticks. Let's start with the review and swatches.
MAC Claims: Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! What made M·A·C famous. Mac describes see sheer as 'grapefruit pink' in lustre finish.
MAC See Sheer is a lustre finish lipstick, not one my favourite finishes but this one is pretty awesome. See sheer is mostly a coral lipstick with slight pink undertones and is a little warmer than Crosswires. It is perfect for Indian skin tones, just the perfect amount of coral in it. See sheer is a beautiful summer/spring shade but I wouldn't mind wearing it in winters either! What I love about it the most is it is shimmer free, because it is lustre and the texture is creamy but the colour is sheer. You can build up the shade but this isn't suitable for extremely pigmented lips.
One more thing I adore is, this is one of those lipsticks that doesn't require a mirror for application, just take the lipstick swirl it around your lips and you are done! See sheer can be worn for office or a casual day out or a night out with smokey eyes and on a daily basis too. For lip gloss girls this is a great transition from lip gloss to lipsticks. It isn't bright or heavy but just gives the perfect amount of color and yet retains glossiness as it is a lustre finish. It is quiet moisturising but I would apply on well moisturised lips as it may look a little uneven on dry chapped lips.
When it comes to staying power, because it is glossy it stays on me till I eat something heavy like say lunch, I do need to re apply after but it does stay between small snack breaks. Overall a nice pretty warm coral shade to have in your stash. Works beautifully as a daily wear shade. This shade will particularly suit all skin tones especially light to medium but even on dusky Indian skin tones it will work perfectly fine.

- Creamy texture and glossy lustre finish.
- Sheer but can be built up which I love.
- 100% shimmer free so can be layered easily.

Hate MAC See Sheer Lipstick – why?
