If you want to go to the beginning press the home key or the end of the composition press the End key. For laptops the keyboard shortcut to go to the beginning or end of your composition is CMD + ALT + right or left arrow. Sometimes you are animating something at the end of your composition, and that pesky play-head loops back to the beginning. Your Mac keyboard may lack Home and End keys, but you can jump to the beginning and end of documents, pages and apps with one of two keyboard shortcuts. Actually, to select all text on a OneNote page, you must do Ctrl-A twice! The cursor can be placed anywhere on the page, but if you do it only once, it just selects the line it's on.

Updated page to list ctrl+[a] 1x = select line, 2x select section, 3x = select page. Thank you for pointing that out!

The OneNote shortcut key for expanding/collapsing outlines is incorrect. See Outline keys section on this page https://www.shortcutworld.com/en/win/OneNote_2016.html Currently it says: Alt+Shift+[/] Expand collapsed outline The actual shortcut is Alt+Shift+'+' or Alt+Shift+'-' to expand or collapse outline Thx! You can split and join tables along rows (at least in OneNote 2010) with the following keyboard sequenceTO SPLIT A TABLE ALONG A ROW1. Insert an empty row below the last row you want to retain in the upper table +2. With the cursor in the first column of the new blank row type or TO JOIN TWO TABLES WITH THE SAME NUMBER OF COLUMNS1. Copy the table to be joined: +2. Position the cursor just below the first column of the other table: use the 3. Insert and Join the two tables: +Step 3 above can also be accomplished by simply deleting blank lines between the aligned tables residing in the same group 2. Copy the lower

We use Macro Express (ME) and have dozens of macros that we use to make our work more uniform, reduce typos, and save keystrokes. In ME, one can designate whether a macro will work globally, only in selected programs, or exclude programs one does not want the macro to run. We have just recently started using OneNote 2010 and several of the shortcut sequences duplicate macros we already have. Is there a way to have OneNote shortcuts run ONLY in OneNote? Thank you.
The End key is a key commonly found on desktop and laptopkeyboards. The key has the opposite effect of the Home key. In some limited-size keyboards where the End key is missing the same functionality can be reached via the key combination of Fn+→
Its standard symbol ⇲ as described in ISO/IEC 9995-7, i.e. U+21F2⇲SOUTH EAST ARROW TO CORNER, is used on some full-size keyboards instead of a possibly localized text label.
Microsoft Windows[edit]
In modern Microsoft Windows text editing applications, the End key is primarily used to move the cursor to the end of the line in which it is positioned. When the text is not editable, it is used to scroll to the end of the document; this can also be done in editable text if the key is pressed along with Control.
Move Cursor To End Of Line Mac Version
The End key can also be used to highlight all the characters after the cursor in a certain line if pressed along with ⇧ Shift in editable text.
macOS[edit]
In most macOS applications, the key works differently than on other platforms. When the key is pressed, the window scrolls to the bottom, while the cursor position does not change at all; that is, the End key is tied to the window, not the text box being edited.[1] On Apple keyboards that do not have an End key, one can press Fn+→ for the End key functionality described above. To get the same result as the Windows platform (that is, going to the end of the current line of text), press ⌘ Command+→. In most single-line text fields, you can also instead press the down arrow key. An application can be used to change this behaviour.[2]
Linux[edit]
In Linux, the End key has basically the same functionality as it does on Windows. It positions the cursor at the end of a line in editable text, and otherwise scrolls a scrollable document to the end. Also, like Windows, the End key can be used to highlight all the characters after the cursor in a certain line if pressed along with ⇧ Shift in editable text.
Non-GUI applications[edit]
In older screen-oriented, text-based (non-GUI) applications, the user pressed the 'End' key to indicate that they had finished entering data on a particular 'screen'.
